Leh… the cold desert and the northern most inhabited place in India, falls in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, in the region of Ladakh. Leh is the land full of surprises, with the Drass valley, the Nubra Valley and the Khardungla pass are the places those are full of natural splendours famous all over the world. The Bacterian Camel Safari, the only way to experience the wonder of nature, is also the main attraction to reach these rough terrains. Leh, where the snow, sun and silence prevail and time seems to stand still. It is the land, where human bows to the bounty of natural beauty and rigidity, at the same time. The region has one of the lowest population densities in the world having 2 inhabitants per kilometer. The imposing mountains, the dry terrains, the chilly weather and the overpowering silence, but the smiling faces of those 2 inhabitants in one km area make all the difference. They are the ones who have experienced the wrath and the warmth of nature, building beautiful palaces like the Leh Palace and the great Buddhist monasteries like the Spituk, Shanti Stupa and the Lamayuru. A place that is equally inviting for adventure tourists and nature lovers; that is what Leh is all about.
